Values
Since the first edition of FRUŃ we have been getting better and better clarity about the values that guide our actions; they flow straight from the heart and are given the highest priority. FRUŃ is based on 4 pillars:
1. Art – the festival is a space for creation and artistic expression. Whether in the form of music, handicrafts or artistic installations; volunteers taking care of these areas will have the opportunity to work with artists and ensure that the visual and auditory aspects of the festival are at the highest level!
2. Ecology – every action we take aims for the smallest carbon footprint possible; all waste from the festival is meticulously sorted to recover everything suitable for recycling. We are aware that Mother Earth is one, and we aim to take care of her as well as we can! The work of Clean-Up Crew in this regard is invaluable!
3. Mental wellness – in order for us to take care of the planet and create a beautiful future, we need to feel good in our own skin, mind, and soul! In our community, we emphasize education and practices that allow us to maintain inner harmony.
4. Community – FRUŃ is created by people – for people! It is a meeting place, a space where we come together in one great community and together create something wonderful here. Although we have different skills and scopes of responsibility, we are all equal. We invite you with open arms so that we can together create a world based on shared values, a magical space full of love, kindness, joy, and smiles, which fosters positive change.
The entire event is a result of the collaboration of maaaaaany beings! Some of us work almost year-round, devising and planning, some join the action a few months before, but the majority of hands-on work is recruited in the last weeks before the start. It’s wonderful that you also want to become part of this space and contribute something of yourself! Let’s meet together to spread happiness and bring the light of smiles. To support each other in development and self-expression.
